Ann DeRulle
“I relish in bringing the essence and energetics of sacred geometry to life in design, color, shape and proportion," Ann says. "And, I love incorporating symbolic meaning at the same time.”

“Life is not about discovering our talents; it is about pushing our talents to the limit and discovering our genius.”
  Robert Brault

“Each of us is an artist, capable of conceiving and creating a vision from the depths of our being.”
  Dorothy Fadiman

“True creativity flows only from stillness. When stillness becomes conscious, the spiritual dimension enters your life and you begin to be guided by an intelligence far greater than the human mind.”
  Eckhart Tolle

“Creativity takes courage.”
  Henri Matisse

“To be truly creative, you have to work beyond what you know. Pushing the envelope is what being an artist is all about.”
  John Ferrie

“There are people who are just plain supposed to be writing – or painting or sculpting or dancing or... This isn't optional, and often isn't even fun – it's as important as breathing.”
  Darylynn Starr Rank

Biography
Showing works in five public venues and establishing this website in late 2009 mark the launching of a new career for me, that of an artist.

As a “closet, would-be” artist most of my life and without formal art education, I dabbled at art in different forms over the years and actually sold some pieces. I began taking art classes and workshops in 1998 and have continued to do so. My focus has been on design, composition and color theory by means of watercolor, collage, acrylic and experimental mixed water media techniques. I relish in creating new textures and in combining elements in new and unexpected ways.

I have studied primarily with a nationally-renowned artist/teacher/juror, Jane E. Jones. I have also studied with other teachers from around the U. S., and I have traveled to other states and to Italy for study.

With a B.S degree in Business Administration, I bring 30 years’ experience from successful careers in the corporate world, including my own advertising and PR agency. And, most recently from a consulting career in energy psychology and vibrational medicine for 18 years, I bring knowledge about the energetics of sacred geometry, which is so empowering. Marrying this arena with my ever-evolving art techniques to create divinely-inspired art for individual and collective transformation is my current passion.
